Greetings from Pittsburgh! How exciting to receive your invitation to exchange packets! I am glad to have the opportunity to share with you some of my life experiences and vision of ministry. I am likewise excited to learn more about your church’s past, who you are today, and your hopes for the future. Through this search process, we will have the opportunity to reflect upon one another’s packets and consider the shape that our shared ministries might take. This is such a unique, thrilling and important venture for all of us involved! It’s a wonderful opportunity for deep reflection and ultimately, to be in service to our higher ideals and values. I bring with me to this process positivity, authenticity, and whole bunch of curiosity.
I welcome the conversation that will come forth as we begin to know each other better. We call it the search “process” as it is not an easy or swift undertaking, nor should it be. As we move through this process together, I hope you will feel free to slow down and ask of me any questions that arise or share with me any ways that I might better clarify my ministry. Likewise, I am sure I will have many questions for you.
Whatever the outcome of our conversations together, it is my hope that we both find the time we share to be enriching and valuable for our future ministries. Let us enter into an open, good-natured dialogue that will lead us toward finding the best match for everyone! I am glad to begin this time with you.
